Welcome incoming ninth graders!

Dear Students:

I just finished a walk around our school and was thinking that very shortly we will begin what I hope will be your best school year ever!   School construction projects are nearly complete and our teachers will start preparing their classrooms and lessons next week.   I am so very excited for August 18 to finally be here.

Please remember that our classes begin at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, August 18.    You should be dressed in shorts or long pants (khaki or black), and black shoes or black sneakers. Your polo shirt will be available for you to change into upon arrival. Please be ready to be active all day.   If you have not placed your clothing order, please do so immediately by calling Mrs. Abbott at 402-1872. All students must be in uniform for our opening day and school picture.

Our first week of school is going to be a great deal of fun and full of new experiences for you.   In addition to the opening day barbecue and field day, we will be visiting Erie Community College, and the offices of local medical professionals. Many fun activities will help build new friendships among students. A wonderful new world will open up to you on August 18, and I know that you will enjoy being part of the freshman class at Health Sciences Charter School.

I encourage you to monitor our Web site at www.healthsciencescharterschool.org, as we will add interesting new material each week that will be helpful to you and your parents.

If you have any questions, please contact me through Mrs. Abbott in the office.    See you on August 18.

Sincerely,

Dr. Hank Stopinski, Principal
