During Spring Break (March 20-March 26), a group of students, teachers, and administrators went on the biannual trip to Puerto Rico! Students had the trip of a lifetime kayaking in the Bioluminescent Bay, hiking to waterfalls in El Yunque National Rainforest, soaking in the beauty of La Catedral, and listening to world renowned musicians.
The most important experience of the trip was giving back to the people who opened their arms to wide to our students. The group stripped and painted fences, shopped and donated school supplies, and spent an afternoon conversing with residents in a retirement home. To say the residents lit up at the sound of Spanish coming from our students is an understatement.
A huge shout out is necessary for Mr. Banas, Mr. Woodward, Ms. Banas, and Mr. Boccaccio for helping to provide to experience of a lifetime!
