Congratulations, Joyeuse, on Your Summer Opportunity!

Please congratulate junior Joyeuse Ingabire for being selected to participate in Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center's prestigious Summer Research Program. Hundreds of students apply for this program, yet only a few are selected.

Joyeuse will be working alongside Dr. O'Connor as his cancer research assistant, as well as with graduate students, post-doctoral scholars and technicians. Her core research experience will be supported by educational seminars and career development activities. These include a weekly course, invited speaker seminars and field trips to life sciences companies.

She will develop skill sets important to a scientific career, learn about cutting-edge cancer science topics and explore non-traditional science careers. Joyeuse will conclude her research experience by giving a poster presentation at a research conference.

For those of you who know her, there is no doubt you know her level of commitment to pursuing a career in medicine and this opportunity will serve her well as she continues to travel this path that she has set for herself.

Again, Congratulations, Joyeuse!
