Work-Based Learning at Health Sciences Charter School

At Health Sciences Charter School, our Work-Based Learning (WBL) Program bridges the gap between the classroom and real-world careers. Through hands-on experiences, students gain technical, academic, and employability skills by working directly in professional environments.

Our Career Exploration Internship Program (CEIP) and Work-Based Learning opportunities allow students to apply what they learn in class to real workplace settings while also bringing valuable industry knowledge back to the classroom. This approach enhances learning by focusing on practical, problem-solving experiences rather than just theoretical instruction.

A key part of our program is mentorship and relationship-building with industry professionals and community partners. These connections not only provide students with valuable guidance but also strengthen the long-term success of our WBL program, creating lasting opportunities for students in the Buffalo community and beyond.
