Monday–Thursday | 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Participants may not miss more than two classes during the training period.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be a City of Buffalo resident
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Complete and pass the TABE Assessment
- Obtain a TB test
Program Benefits:
Once accepted, you will participate in the 1199SEIU ARPA Program, which includes:
- Full tuition coverage for the Phlebotomy Training Course
- A monthly stipend for students who remain employed with a partnering organization for 90+ days

Calling all 2025 Graduates:
An exciting opportunity is available to begin your nursing career through a new LPN Apprenticeship Pathway in partnership with Say Yes Buffalo, Catholic Health, and Trocaire College. This program allows you to gain paid healthcare experience while working toward becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
The program is completed in three phases:
Phase 1: Work as a CNA trainee with Catholic Health and complete your CNA exam
Phase 2: Complete coursework at Trocaire College toward a Certificate in Practical Nursing while continuing to work as a CNA
Phase 3: Finish the LPN program, take the licensing exam, and earn your Certificate in Practical Nursing. All while working as a CNA.
Program Highlights:
• Earn income while gaining hands-on clinical experience
• Complete the CNA and LPN licensing exams
• Earn a Certificate in Practical Nursing through Trocaire College
• Receive support with tuition and exam costs
• Access coaching and career support through Catholic Health’s THRIVE program
Eligibility:
• 2025 graduate of a Buffalo Public or Buffalo Charter High School
• Ages 18–24
