Dr. Corbett was the lead architect behind the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. She reminds us that representation in the lab isn't just about diversity—it’s about saving lives in every community.

We are so incredibly proud of our students at Health Sciences Charter School who are diving into the sciences with grit and curiosity. The next vaccine pioneer might be in your Chem class!

Dr. Williams performed one of the first successful open-heart surgeries in history—and he did it in a hospital he founded himself. He didn't wait for permission to be great; he created his own opportunities.

At Health Sciences Charter School, we encourage our students to have that same "founder" mentality. You have everything you need to be a pioneer right here.

We are excited to share our Teen Mental Health Podcast, created by students who participated in the Teen Mental Health Certification Training.

This course teaches students the skills needed to provide initial support to friends who may be experiencing or developing mental health or substance use challenges. Students learned how to recognize signs and triggers, practice healthy coping strategies, and understand the importance of reaching out to trusted adults for help and support. The certification is valid for three years.

We truly believe that the more students we have certified, the better chance we have of helping to positively shift and respond to what we are seeing in youth culture today, and strengthening how students support one another in real time.

A special thank you to Cambria Daniels, MA, MHC-p, for not only training our students but also returning to facilitate the podcast conversation and support them throughout the process.
